School Council Organised Days

Earlier in the year the School Council asked the pupils to choose 3 charities to support this year.

Monday 5th March - The School Council have invited Natasha from EACH (East Anglia Children's Hospice) to come and talk to the school about the work that they do as our nominated local charity.

Tuesday 6th March - The School Council have chose to hold a non-uniform day to raise money for our local charity (EACH).

February 2018

The School Council have all done an amazing job this month helping Mrs French, Mr Rodger and Mr Stickley interview new teachers for September. They were all great ambassadors for Kendall and had some tricky questions to put to the candidates.
November 2017

This month the School Council have been asking the pupils what they know about keeping safe, what to do if they don't feel safe and who can help them.

Thursday 21st September 2017

Today the new representatives on the school council met for the first time following the class elections. Everyone was very excited to learn about what the role of a school councillor involves and to receive their new badges!

Our first job is to decide which local and national charities we will support through our fundraising days this year. Hopefully we'll be able to share this news with you soon.

Our school council members from September 2017 are:

Year 1 - Luca & Rosie
Year 2 - Grace & Fern
Year 3 - Emmeline & Sophia
Year 4 - Archie & Brandon
Year 5 - Leon & Eve
Year 6 - Rasi & David

Our School Council aims to ensure that all pupils have:

 A voice!

A safe, happy, fair learning environment.

A forum to voice their concerns and act upon them.

An opportunity to take an active part in the management of the school.

A sense of ownership over policy and practice.

An understanding of the British Value of Democracy and how this ensures fairness and equality for all.
