Year 4 Siege of Colchester Visit

On Friday 17th May, year 4 walked into town and travelled back in time to 1642 where the English Civil war had a huge impact upon Colchester and how it looks today.  Year 4 visited many historical buildings and the tour leaders were amazingly knowledgeable.  After 3 hours of walking, we were all ready for our lunch where we studied the castle and the obelisk where Sir Lucas and Sir Lisle were killed.  This has really helped us to understand where and how the civil war impacted our town and we will use this information to guide us in our learning over the next 8 weeks.
