Year 1 Visit to Abberton Reservoir

posted 6 Mar 2020, 09:30 by Website Admin
Year 1 were lucky enough to visit and explore Abberton Reservoir last Friday. The first activity that we took part in was a mini beast hunt. Everyone had a go at pond dipping and had fun identifying the creatures that they found. After lunch, we were quizzed on our knowledge of plants. Year 1 had some excellent answers and really impressed Charlotte, our tour guide, with their knowledge! We then had to identify different types of trees making sure we were looking closely at the shape of the leaves and other important clues. Finally, we made our own plant pots from newspaper and we planted seeds to bring back to school. Year 1 represented the school beautifully, showed many of Kendall’s core Christian values throughout the day and had a super time!
