We
have been made aware of the need to be more vigilant when the children stack
their wellies on the racks, as a few of them are left on the floor and are then
collecting rainwater. I have asked my staff to remind children how to stack the
boots properly. I am personally very disappointed with the welly racks, which
were very expensive when I bought them last year, because some wellies are just
too big to fit on them. I am now going to look for alternatives, for example
class welly sheds, and will ask the PTA if they can help us to raise funds for
these. In the meantime, we will try to make sure wellies are placed on racks
properly and covers used when appropriate. Staff will check the racks at least
once a day and will also bring any wellies that do get wet inside, into our
resources room so that they can dry before their next Forest School or LOTC
session. You can also help us with this problem, if you see wellies on the playground,
please stack them back on the racks provided. Thank you. |
