Over
the past couple of weeks, the children have been working with Mrs Love to
create a field of clay poppies to mark the 100th anniversary of the
armistice of World War 1. This morning (9th November) the children laid the poppies onto the
hill next to the Year 1 playground and said a prayer. This was followed by a
short service this afternoon where we took a moment of peace to remember all of
those fallen in wars and those currently serving in the armed forces. |
