Now
that teachers have undergone significant training in LOTC, they cannot wait to
take children out to the forest for lessons! As the weather is warmer, more
children are coming to school wearing summer dresses and shorts. However, there
are nettles and brambles and insects (for example gnats) in the woodland and as
such we ask that all children bring in a spare pair of old jogging
bottoms or leggings and a light weight long sleeved t-shirt or top to cover
their arms and legs to eliminate the the risk of bites, stings and scratches. It is
also a sensible precaution to apply insect repellent to your child before
school as the school is situated in a wooded area next to Distillery Pond. As
always, please name these clothes which can be kept on school pegs in a named
carrier bag. |
